නව ඇපල් පරිගණකය | The New Apple

ඇපල් පරිගණක සමාගමේ නවතම පරිගණකය හඳුන්වා දී අවසන්. කලින් අනුවාදයට වඩා විශේෂ වෙනස්කම් රැසකින් සමන්විත මෙය ඉතාමත් අලංකාර බව කිව යුතුමයි. ඇනෝඩයිස් කරන ලද ඇලුමිනියම් රාමුවකින් හා අඟල් 20 – 24 තිර වලින් සමන්විත මෙය ඉතා විශිෂ්ට නිෂ්පාදනයක්. තනි ඇලුමිනියම් තහඩුවකින් නිර්මාණය කර ඇති රාමුව නිසා කිසිදු සවිකිරීමක්, ඇණයක්, නැවුමක් පෙනෙන්නට නැහැ. එහි iSight කැමරාව හා මයික්‍රෝෆෝනය සවිකර ඇති බවක් හෝ පිටතට පෙනෙන්නේ නැහැ. සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම අලුතින් නිර්මාණය කර ඇති තුනී යතුරුපුවරුව ඇලුමිනියම් වලින් නිමවා තිබෙනවා.

ටාස්ක්ස් මාරු කරන්නට නම් TaskSwitchXP

Alt+Tab යතුරු භාවිතා කරමින් විවිධ වැඩසටහන් අතර මාරු වීම අප නිතර කරන දෙයක්. නමුත් (මා සිතන ආකාරයට) වින්ඩෝස් 98 පටන් වින්ඩෝස් එක්ස්පී දක්වාම එම සංවාද කවුළුව වෙනස් වී නැහැ. ඒ සඳහා නව පෙනුමක් ලබාදෙන්නට මයික්‍රොසොෆ්ට් මගින් Alt+Tab Replacement එකක් හඳුන්වා දුන්නා. නමුත් එහි තිබෙන ගැටළුව වන්නේ එහි කිසිදු සැකසුමක් අපට අවශ්‍ය ආකාරයට වෙනස් කරගත නොහැකි වීමයි. නමුත් TaskSwitchXP මෘදුකාංගය එය සමග සන්සන්දනය කරන විට ඉතාමත් බලගතු වැඩසටහනක්. කවුළුව දර්ශනය වන ස්ථානය වෙනස් කිරීම, සෙවණැලි, පාරදෘෂ්‍යතාවය, විවර්ණ ආචරණ (Fading Effects), දෘෂ්‍ය රටා, පූර්වදර්ශනය සහ තමන්ට අවශ්‍ය ආකාරයට ඕනෑම වෙනස්කමක් කිරීමේ හැකියාව තිබෙන මෙය ඉතාමත් විශිෂ්ටයි. මුළුමනින්ම නොමිලයේ ලබාදෙන්නක් වන මෙය මෙතැනින් ලබාගන්නට පුළුවන්. මෙය ක්‍රියාත්මක වන්නේ වින්ඩෝස් එක්ස්පී හා වින්ඩෝස් 2003 සමග පමණයි.

Well we always use the key combination Alt+Tab to switch between applications, don’t we? But (as I think) the same dialog box was used from Windows 98 to XP. It’s changed now in Vista but really, XP is still sufficient for my needs. Microsoft introduced a Powertoy named Alt+Tab Replacement but still, it wasn’t good enough for me. The theme I use – Royale Noir gave an ugly effect with it. I really hated it. Luckily for me (and all the guys out there) there’s a nice tool with tons of features named TaskSwitchXP. Compared to the Microsoft’s Thingy this nifty little tool got great features. It supports features like Positioning, Shadows, Transparencies, Fading Effects, Various Visual Styles and it’s highly customizable. Best of all, it’s Free. Works only with Windows XP and 2003. පවර්ඩීවීඩී 7 සඳහා සිංහල පැකේජය බොහෝදුරට අවසානයි. සාමාන්‍යයෙන් භාවිතා කරන සියළුම විශේෂාංග සිංහලයට පරිවර්තනය කර තිබෙනවා. තවමත් කරන්නට නොහැකි වූයේ මෙනු පමණයි. ලබාගැනීමට කැමති අය සිටිනවානම්, කරුණාකර දන්වන්න.

The Sinhala Package for PowerDVD 7 is almost finished. Most Commonly used features are translated to Sinhala Language. But the menus aren’t translated yet. Working on it now. If there’s anyone interested, please contact me. 😀

අන්තර්ජාලයෙන්ම FTP

මම මගේ වෙබ් අඩවිය කරන කාලේ FTP මෘදුකාංගයක් භාවිතා කළා. වෙබ් අඩවිය නවතා දැම්මට පස්සේ ඒකත් අයින් කළා. මේ ළඟදී හදිස්සියකට ඒ සර්වර් එකට ගොනු වගයක් අප්ලෝඩ් කරන්න වුණා. ආයෙමත් ඒ මෘදුකාංග ස්ථාපනය කරන්න කම්මැලි හිතුණු නිසා හොයලා බලද්දි තමයි මේ Web Based FTP ගැන දැනගන්න ලැබුණේ. ඒක භාවිතය බොහොම පහසුයි. කිසි දෙයක් ස්ථාපනය කරන්න අවශ්‍යත් නැහැ. පහසුකම් ගොඩක් තියෙනවා. කිසිම කරදරයක් නැහැ. මම නිර්දේශ කරන්නේ net2ftp තවත් විවිධ ඒවා තියෙනවා. surftp නම් එච්චරම හොඳට වැඩ කළේ නැහැ. තවත් ගොඩක් සේවා තියෙනවා. ගූගල් කෙරුවොත් හොයාගන්න පුළුවනි. මේ තවත් එකක්

I used a FTP software in the days I was running a website. After I stopped it, I got rid of the program too. However, last week I had to upload some files to a FTP server. Since I felt lazy to install those FTP software all over again, I ran a search on Web Based FTP Services. Net2FTP is a great service providing all facilities and features of a regular FTP program. But the best thing is you don’t have to install anything. Just go to net2ftp and upload!
