ෆෙඩෝරා ලිනක්ස් සටහන් හි නිර්දේශය මත මමත් වර්චුවල්බොක්ස් ස්ථාපනය කර බැලුවා. VirtualBox Guest Additions ස්ථාපනය කළ පසු ඉතා හොඳින් එක්ස්පී ක්‍රියාත්මක වුණා. වර්චුවල්බොක්ස් හි අනුවාද දෙකක් තිබෙනවා. VirtualBox-OSE හා සාමාන්‍ය වැසූ-කේත නිපැයුම ලෙස. OSE අනුවාදය විවෘත කේත අනුවාදයක්. එහි යූඑස්බී සහය ආදිය ලැබෙන්නේ නැහැ. වැසූ-කේත අනුවාදයේ යූඑස්බී සහයද තිබෙනවා.
ලිනක්ස්, වින්ඩෝස් සහ මගේ භාවිතය | Linux, Windows and my usage
ඉතින්, ගොඩ දවසකින් මේ ලියන්න පටන් ගත්තේ. මේ දවස් වල නම් උබුන්ටු වලම තමයි වැඩ කරන්නේ. හිතාගන්නවත් බෑ වින්ඩෝස් පාවිච්චි කරන්න නොහිතෙන බව. මේ දවස් ටිකට බොහොම සුළු වැඩ කීපයකට විතරයි වින්ඩෝස් බූට් කළේ. ඇත්තටම මම කවදාවත් හිතුවේ නැහැ ලිනක්ස් වලට මට මෙච්චර ආසා හිතෙයි කියලා 🙂 ඒ වුණත් මට Gnome නම් වැඩිය ඇල්ලුවේ නැහැ. හේතුව කියන්න දන්නේ නැහැ ඒක ගොඩක් හෙමින් තමයි වැඩ කරන්නේ. මම KDE උත්සාහ කර බැලුවා. ඒක නම් ගොඩක් හොඳයි වගේ දැනුනේ. Kubuntu සීඩී තැටියකුත් ඉල්ලලයි තියෙන්නේ.
උබුන්ටු පාවිච්චි කළාට තවම ස්කෑනර් එක හදාගන්න බැරිවුණා. දන්න කියන හැමෝගෙන්ම අහලා, ෆෝරම් වලින් අහලා, උබුන්ටු IRC චැනලයේ අයගෙනුත් ඇහුවා. කිසිම විසඳුමක් නැහැ. කරන්න දෙයක් නෑ ඊළඟ update එක එනතෙක් බලාගෙන ඉන්න වෙයි වගේ. අනිත් ඒවා නම් හොඳට වැඩ කරනවා. කිසිම ප්‍රශ්නයක් නැහැ.
අනිත් ප්‍රශ්නේ සමහර මෘදුකාංග. ෆොටෝෂොප් සහ කොරල්ඩ්‍රෝ තමයි ලොකුම ප්‍රශ්නේ. Wine වලින් ට්‍රයි කරලා බැලුවා – අසාර්ථකයි. Virtualbox දාලා ට්‍රයි කළා. ඒක නම් එච්චරටම වරදක් නෑ. ඒත් ඉතින් හාඩ් ඩිස්ක් එකේ ඉඩ මදි හින්දා ආයෙමත් අයින් කළා. (මා ගාව 40යි තියෙන්නේ)
පොඩි කැමරාවකුත් හම්බවුණා. Olympus FE-100 එකක්. පරණයි. වැඩිය වැඩ කෑලි නැහැ. ඒත් පාවිච්චි කරන්න පුළුවන් තත්ත්වයේ. දැන් ඉතින් බ්ලොග් එක ලියනකොට පින්තූරයක් දෙකක් දාගන්නත් බැරියැ? 🙂 ඒකෙන් ගත්තු පින්තූර කීපයක් මගේ deviantART පිටුවට දාලා තියෙනවා.
උබුන්ටු සහ මගේ දිවිය | Ubuntu and my Life
So, I installed Ubuntu once again. But unlike the previous version, I’m enjoying it very well. 😀 Yeah, I’m using it more often than Windows. It’s strange ‘coz before, I didn’t like Ubuntu at all. Well I didn’t like many of ’em. I even tried Fedora. However, Gutsy works fine and I’m loving it. 🙂 There are some problems with the scanner though. I’m trying to find a way to fix it now. I installed Wine to get some Windows applications to work with it. Haven’t tried it yet though. Will keep you updated.
අහ්, සිංහලෙන් නොලිවීම ගැන සමාවෙන්න. ලියන්න හිතුණෙ නෑ. ඉස්සරහට ලියන්නම්. නිකං කම්මැලියි වගේ ලියන්න. සමහර වෙලාවට ඉංග්‍රීසියෙන් ලියනකොට අදහස් ප්‍රකාශ කරන්න ලේසියි වගේ දැනෙනවා. අනේ මන්දා… මේ ලිපිය ලියන්නේ උබුන්ටු වල ඉඳන්. මම කොහොමත් ලිනක්ස් වලට වැඩි කැමැත්තක් තිබුණේ නෑ ඉස්සර. දැන් නම් පාවිච්චි කරන්නෙ ආසාවෙන්. තවත් පොඩි වැඩ ටිකක් තියෙනවා, පසුව විස්තර කියන්නම්කො. 🙂

Happy New Year and Ubuntu 7.10
First of all, I must wish you all a happy new year! Thanks guys, for sticking with me and my blog, and encouraging me with your comments. It’s been a pleasure writing this blog since you have always been kind, friendly and supportive. So a new year begins, and I hope to write more and more rich content for your pleasure and knowledge.
So, the new year began and I got the Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) cd’s today. 😀 I didn’t install them yet though. I ran the Live CD and it was just awesome. The first thing I noticed: It was fast! Well I tried the previous version of Ubuntu (7.04 Feisty Fawn) but I didn’t like it. It felt kinda slow and it wasn’t responsive. I tried to find why, but couldn’t. I thought it was something wrong with my PC. Even switching tabs in Firefox was slower. So I removed it.
Gutsy Gibbon was released a few months back I guess. With lots of features it looked promising. So I requested some cd’s from the Ubuntu’s ShipIt service. It took about 20 days to arrive. Got to install it today. I’ll update you guys with the latest info.
